PROGRAM FEE

Volunteer Rural Nepal Program fee covers these expenses:

1. Airport pick up and drop off.
2. Sight-seeing in the Kathmandu Valley (or provide the services of a trekking guide outside of the Valley  at the volunteer’s own expense).
3. Initial stay in a hotel in Kathmandu (2 night accommodation only at our choice of hotel).
4. Language lesson and travel orientation.
5. Food and accommodation during placements in the Host family at our chosen local village.
   

Apart from the above volunteers will cover these costs:

1. Flight costs.
2. Visa (tourist) fee (free visa during 2011 only).  You can easily purchase a visa at the Kathmandu airport. At immigration they accept US$ in cash for the visa.
3. Immunizations.
4. Travel Insurance.
5. Also you will need a weekly budget to cater for all your other expenses like bottled water, personal items, beverages and entertainment.

Note:

1. Volunteers will be provided at least 2 main meals a day during their placement and 1 snack. If you prefer to do your own cooking we will provide the cooking equipment and food provisions at our expense.
2. A non-refundable deposit is required 2 weeks prior to arrival.
3. The remainder of the program fee is to be paid in full upon arrival in Kathmandu.
4. Volunteers for the program must be 18 years or older.
5. Have no major health problems.
6. Be eligible to obtain a tourist visa to Nepal.
