Laligurash Bright Future English School is located in Mirge VDC, a remote village located at the eastern part of Nepal and 170 km from Kathmandu the capital city. Mirge lies on the trekking route to the Everest base camp. The population of Mirge VDC is 4475 and lies in the central development region under Janakpur zone Dolakha, north-east of the district headquarters of Charikot.  On its eastern side lies Jiri and Thulopatal VDC on its western side Namdu, northern side Kabhre and to the south Gairimudi VDC.

There is no historical documentation regarding where the name of Mirge VDC came from (meaning deer in Nepal) but it is believed that it originated from a hunter in search of food.  In his search he came upon a large forest within this area and found a herd of deer grazing. He was so delighted at this find that he would frequently return to hunt – this kept both his family and village in food for many years.
